I'm sure some of you have heard of hygge (hoo-ga), but do you know what really constitutes this uniquely Danish feeling? Unable to be directly translated, this warm and fuzzy comfort-ness is woven into every aspect of Denmark's culture. I walked away from this one a happier person than I thought, and I hope you will, too.

"Inclusivity" has turned into such a buzzword that I'm often skeptical when I see it, but Desire totally surpassed my expectations. The authors do an amazing job of framing different desire levels as a normal part of relationships, and the way they acknowledge their privilege in the introduction is refreshing. Desire feels like a spiritual successor to Come As You Are, and I want everyone to read this, regardless of whether they're in a relationship or single.

An especially fascinating and thorough story of the reflections of societal beliefs in the mental health field over the years. From the horrific eugenics movement to our current world, Mind Fixers is a great read for anyone even moderately interested in the often chilling and intersectional history of how psychology/psychiatry came to be what they are, and how that morbid history still informs us today, despite all the progress made.
